The E4 Ranch is a family owned and operated consisting of 3000 low fenced acres located near the town of McFaddin in South Texas. The terrain is broken with draws and covered with mesquite and live oaks. It is home to incredible amount of Whitetail Deer, Rio Grande Turkeys,
Wild Hogs, and great Dove hunting.
The ranch has become a annual hunting tradition for many of our customers.
The E4 Ranch has been expertly managed to produce Trophy Whitetail Deer with the guidance of a state appointed biologist and operates under Managed Lands Permits issued by the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department. The permits allow for an extended season which usually starts the first of October and runs through February.
This allows us extra time to remove inferior genetics from the herd and allows us to be very selective on the deer harvested and to have small groups of hunters in the camp.
We don’t mix groups
of hunters when you book four or more hunters at one time.
Other management practices include year around supplement protein feeding ,
planting of food plots , subscribed burns and aerial brush control and rotational livestock grazing. This ranch is managed to create a haven for wildlife.
E4 RANCH LODGING
The main ranch house at E4 was completely remodeled and transformed in 2007 for the sole purpose of entertaining our hunters and guest.
The 4 bedroom 2 bath ranch house sleeps 9 comfortably and with the adjacent bunk house we can accommodate 8 more guest .
Before and after dinner we have two large outside fire pits at the main house and large covered porches that offer plenty of room to unwind and gather around on those chilly Texas nights and visit about the days events.
For those must see football games we have satellite television.
Delicious home cooked meals are served at E4 including our famous mesquite grilled rib eye steaks and baby back ribs, we guarantee no lost of weight on this trip. For additional entertainment we have a regulation lighted skeet range behind the main house.
Which is great for sharping shooting skills or just friendly completion.
The E4 Ranch is home to an incredible amount of whitetail deer,
seeing 10-15 bucks or more a day is common.
Our success rate has been 100% since we started hunting this property.
Harvesting a buck
wont be a problem.
And remember this is low fenced property which shows how well the ranch has been managed.
The ranch consistently produces trophy class bucks that gross score 130-150 gross B&C.
Once you have harvested your buck you may continue your hunt by taking one doe and as many hogs as you would like to take home.
Most of the hunting is done from comfortable tower blinds.
This
allow you to observe the deer without disturbing them.
At times we will spot in stalk especially when rattling conditions are favorable.
All hunts are full service with meals and lodging guided one on one with a guide that knows the ranch and the deer on it.
Hunt Packages:
All hunts packages are based on a 4 day/3nights arriving the ranch at noon on day one.
Day One: After lunch, you will meet your guide and check your rifle at the range.
Your guide will then take you on your evening hunt.
After the hunt you will arrive back at the lodge for a sit down dinner.
Day two: Early continental breakfast, morning hunt arrive back at camp for a big breakfast then its nap time or shoot some skeet on our regulation range.
Around 3 pm you will start preparing to leave for your evening hunt.
Dinner after the hunt.
Day three: Same as day two the only exception being the menu.
Day four : Early continental breakfast, morning hunt , arrive back at camp for brunch.
You will then depart at noon.
With work and airline connections arriving at noon is not always possible we will be glad price your hunt according to your schedule.
If you arrive to late to hunt on day one the 5 day/4 night package allows you to start your hunt in the morning of day two and finish your hunt the evening of day 4 and depart the morning of day 5.

The hunter has the opportunity to take one Mature Trophy Whitetail,one doe and unlimited hogs. Includes 1 on 1 guide service, lodging and meals.
Skinning and quartering of your game and transportation of your trophy to a qualified taxidermist. There is also one round of skeet on our regulation range so bring your shotguns.

The hunter has the opportunity to take a buck with less than 8 points.
One hog and one doe when population census permits.

Our Bow Hunts at E4 offer a great opportunity at a Pope & Young Buck.
You will be put in situations where you will have multiple chances each day to harvest a buck.
You will also have the privilege of harvesting a doe,
and as many hogs as you can take home with you.
Most of our hunting is done from Ameristep Intimidator Blinds,
that we have situated long before you arrive.
There are a few spots on the ranch where the trees are big enough for clamp on blinds,
if you would like to bring them.
Although nothing is guaranteed in Bow Hunting this is about as close as it comes.
Hog Hunting At E4 Ranch
Our Hog Hunts take place between October and March.
Although there is no closed season its just plain hot in Texas any other time.
This is also the time of year we are preparing for our deer hunts and the senderos and ranch roads are being feed on a regular basis.
There is a tremendous population of Wild Feral Hogs on the ranch and hunting these animals can be great challenge early mornings and late afternoon are the best times to concentrate your efforts towards harvesting them.
We hunt them out of tower blinds, pop up bow blinds, tripods and spot and stalk can also be effective. We are happy to accommodate rifle, bow, handgun, muzzle loader hunters.
Hog Hunt Package :
We offer full service all inclusive hunts that include all meals, lodging and unlimited amount of hogs. Field dressing , skinning and quartering of animals can either be done by the hunter or we will do It for a fee of $30 per hog. A walk- in cooler is available for use as well.

Our hunts are primarily over milo, millet, soybean, and sunflower fields specifically planted and manipulated for the hunting of dove.
We also hunt over water holes when conditions are right.
We have multiple fields we hunt and we do all the pre scouting on a daily basis to put you on birds. Victoria county is located two hours south/west of Houston in the heart of milo,
corn and soybean farm country.
This area holds a tremendous amount of Mourning & Whitewing Doves.
Packages can be customized to accommodate your group size and needs.
Whether it’s a corporate outing with 40 hunters or a family trip.

Day Hunt Only: $75 ea. Eight person minimum.

So usually one hunt a day is all that is needed.
So bring fishing rods to fish in our catch & release Bass tanks.
Or plan on some friendly competition at the skeet range the afternoon hunts are the best.

This includes a half day bay fishing trip for Speckled Trout & Red Fish out of Port O’Connor.
And a afternoon dove hunt this package needs to be done in groups of three for the boats.

Day two we will have breakfast on the boat and fish until 11am we will then return to the ranch for lunch and a quick siesta if time permits.
We head to the field from 3 - 4 pm depending on the birds.
And return for dinner after the hunt.
